Alberta Games Volunteer

Volunteers are the cornerstone of the Alberta Games, which offers a wide variety of volunteer experiences, including:

• Fundraising and promotions
• Feeding and transporting athletes
• Supervising in the Athlete Village
• Staging Opening and Closing Ceremonies
• Providing medical, security and telecommunications services
• Assisting sport and cultural events
• Approximately 3,000 to 3,500 volunteers are typically required to organize and stage the Alberta Summer or Winter Games.
• Approximately 800 to 1,000 volunteers are required to organize and stage the Alberta 55 Plus Games.

Each host community organizes its own volunteers.
