celebrates contributions through:
Athlete and Team of the Year

The 2012 Athlete and Team of the Year Awards
will be presented in conjunction with the Alberta Sport and
Recreation Leadership Summit - Awards Banquet on Friday, April
19, 2013 in Banff.
| Athlete and Team of the Year
Award |
Recognizes and celebrates the significant achievements,
performances and contributions of Alberta's amateur teams and
athletes. These award winners are outstanding role models who
inspire other Albertans to higher achievements at the recreational
or competitive level.
Categories include Male and Female, Team, Junior Male and
Female, and Junior Team.
Since the program began in 2002, 40 athletes and 9 teams have been
recognized.

Sport Recognition Awards

The 2012 Sport Recognition Awards will be
presented in conjunction with the Alberta Sport and Recreation
Leadership Summit - Awards Banquet on Friday, April 19,

Coach Developer
Recognition Awards

Acknowledging the tremendous impact NCCP Multi-Sport and Sport
Learning Facilitators/Evaluators have on the Alberta sport delivery
system. The award recognizes and celebrates the significant
achievement in developing Alberta's coaches.
The two types of Learning Facilitators/Evaluators being
recognized are:
- Don Watts Coach Developer (NCCP
Multi-Sport Learning Facilitator/Evaluator)
- Coach Developer - Sport (NCCP
Sport Learning Facilitator/Evaluator)

Awards

Recognizes coaches for their successful and outstanding
achievements in developing Alberta's amateur athletes.
Since the program began in 1987, 68 coaches have been recognized.

Officiating Recognition
Awards
|
Recognizes officials for their successful and outstanding
achievements in officiating sports that involve Alberta's amateur
athletes.
Since the program began in 1992, 42 officials have been recognized.

Sport Volunteer
Recognition Awards
|
Recognizes and honours the significant contributions of
individuals who devote their volunteer time and effort to the
development of sport.
Since the program began in 1987, 86 sport volunteers have been recognized.

Recreation Volunteer Recognition
Awards

Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation and the Alberta Sport,
Recreation Parks and Wildlife Foundation has joined forces
with the Alberta Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA)
to bring Alberta's recreation and parks community Energize 2012
and the Recreation
Volunteer Recognition Awards.
